Nute Engineering is a consulting engineering firm located in San Rafael, California, providing planning, facility design, capital planning, mapping and construction management services in the fields of environmental protection, water and wastewater and water reuse. 

Founded in 1945, Nute Engineering has over 80 years specialized experience in environmental, civil and sanitary engineering services, including the facility planning and design of sewer and flood control drainage, pump stations, wastewater and recycled water treatment plants and water reclamation systems, as well as contract services for public agencies. Nute Engineering has since its inception provided strong leadership on projects to achieve the goals of communities to provide clean, long-lasting and reliable infrastructures as well as supporting a healthy environment by upholding the standards of the US Clean Water Act and the California State and Local Water Board and Air Resources Districts.
